On New Year's Day, it is a tradition in my family to eat pork, sauerkraut and black eyed peas. This meal is to ensure we have good luck for the coming year. I am not convinced I need to eat a certain meal to bring me luck, but I eat it anyway just in case. However, I do believe it is important to start the new year on the right foot with a positive attitude.
Approaching each new year's resolution with an open mind and a positive mental attitude is vital. I firmly believe you can change your life by changing your mind. It's really that simple! Nothing is impossible if you will it with the power of your thoughts. We have the power to gain control of our lives, reach our new goals and live our dreams. To make your new year's resolution becomes reality, it is important to be strong and focused. The power of a positive mind is amazing. Tap into that inner self. Have the self-confidence to push yourself to achieve all you have hoped. Today is the day to start. Make your resolutions a reality!
I started the New Year by hiking Picacho Peak. One of my goals is to get back to hiking every weekend. This was a great way to make my resolution a reality. And to top it off, I LOVED IT! Picacho is now my favorite hike. I look forward to doing it again soon.
